District Launches Redesigned Website to Better Serve Students and Families

The Brentwood School District will officially launch its redesigned district and school websites at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, offering families, students and community members a refreshed online experience designed to better reflect the high-quality learning opportunities available to Brentwood students.

The new website balances two important priorities: providing essential information families and students use every day and highlighting the programs, services and success stories that define the Brentwood experience. Pages have been thoughtfully designed with clarity, ease of navigation and understanding in mind.

“Our website is often the first place families turn for information, and we want that experience to reflect the excellence happening in our classrooms and schools,” said Dr. Amy Zielinski, superintendent of schools. “This redesign helps us share our story more clearly while making it easier for families to find what they need.”

Built With Collaboration and Community Input

Led by the district’s communications department, the website redesign was developed over the past year through a collaborative process that included administrative leaders, grade-level and academic department representatives, and two Board of Education advisory committees — Student Experience and Community Engagement. These advisory committees include students, staff, school board members and community members representing all schools in the district.

“We approached this project with one guiding question: ‘How can we make this work better for families?’” said Anthony Dobson, director of communications. “The result is a website that is easier to navigate, more welcoming to visitors and better aligned with the experiences we provide our students every day.”

Brentwood will continue its partnership with Finalsite to support the district’s website and content management needs.

Updated Content, With More to Come

All existing website content has been redesigned and reorganized to fit the new structure, and new content has been created to give visitors a clearer picture of the district’s programs and services.

Some sections of the website are still being developed and will continue to be added and refined in the weeks and months ahead. The website will remain a living resource, with content updated as programs evolve, learning standards change and new legislation impacts schools.

Designed for Access and Inclusion

The redesigned website and its content were created with accessibility in mind, aligning with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines to help ensure all members of the community can access and understand district information. The site is also fully mobile-responsive, with content that automatically adjusts to fit phones, tablets and other screen sizes for a smoother experience on any device.

Share Feedback and Help Us Improve

As families and community members explore the new website, the district welcomes feedback. Visitors who have questions, can’t find something or believe content is missing are encouraged to email communications@brentwoodmoschools.org.

A feedback prompt will also appear in a pop-up on each new homepage following the launch.

The redesigned website will be available beginning Monday morning at brentwoodmoschools.org, with individual school websites launching at the same time.
