Math and Reading Intervention

At McGrath, we believe every student can grow and succeed with the right support. Our math and reading intervention programs are designed to give students the extra help they need to build strong foundational skills and gain confidence as learners.

McGrath has a team of certified elementary educators dedicated to supporting students in math and reading. These interventionists and specialists work closely with classroom teachers to identify students who may benefit from additional instruction. Using a combination of classroom performance, assessment data and teacher observations, our team tailors support to meet each child’s individual learning needs.

Intervention can take place in the classroom, in small groups or one-on-one, allowing students to receive focused instruction at their own pace. Lessons target essential skills—such as number sense, computation, fluency and problem-solving in math, and phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension in reading—while reinforcing what students are learning in the classroom.

Through consistent collaboration among interventionists, specialists, teachers and families, we ensure that each child’s progress is closely monitored and celebrated. Our goal is to help students strengthen their skills, rediscover their confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning.
